Doggy Swim Day

Dublin Community Pool did a “bring your dog to the pool!”  Everyone in our family brought their dogs, four total, and we had a blast.

Winnie and Rocko are in most of the pictures because they love to run away and go swimming in the pond so they are experienced swimmers.

Tank is a big weary of the water and stayed close to my dad’s side the majority of the time, he’s the one with a yellow leash on him.

Gabbie is the  boxer who didn’t get in the pool at all, with the exception of when we threw her in the water and she karate chopped with her paws like her life depended on it.

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed our time with them! They had a blast.

Here is a hilarious video of Winnie playing fetch, make sure you watch until the end for some PG-13 romance goin’ on in the pool.

Apparently EVERYONE in Dublin owns golden retrievers, as you can see! Tank is the one on the leash, Winnie is the one my dad is touching. The other two dogs in the picture were decoys used to confuse me.

Winnie thoroughly enjoying her swim.

Rocko (most likely stealing the ball from Winnie)

Gabbie stood on the edge barking at our dogs the entire time, but wouldn’t jump in! Such a wimp. Look at Winnie chuggin’ along!

Winnie and her signature crimped hair style. She’s a cutie.

Mass chaos! Tank, for once, actually wants to swim…haha

This one is my favorite pic FOR SURE, how cute is he? hahaha… so tired! He was such a wuss. I don’t know what he’s tired from, he just hung out by the slide the whole time in the shallow end!

I can haz box?

I can haz box?

This is a continuation of Maru the cat. I’ve posted about him before but this is the best video of them all. It get really really good about 30 seconds into it. How can he jump so high??

This dog has a heart valve problem and my brother’s friend Natalie is trying to adopt him from a local rescue shelter. So far he has $265 of the $2600 necessary for the surgery. If everyone who reads this in the next 2 days gave ONE DOLLAR EACH we could easily raise all the money for his surgery. You can use a credit card or PayPal. PLEASE HELP SAVE MANNY!

If you could pass the link to this post around to your friends it would be a great help! Here are pictures and Natalie’s original post.

Hi everyone!

I’m trying to rescue and adopt this adorable dog named Manny. He was born with a faulty heart valve and needs surgery to fix it.

I know money is tight for everyone right now, so any contribution you could make would be amazing! No amount is too little – if we all get together we could really make a difference!

He looks like a puppy german shepherd- but is actually full grown!
Here is the link to the shelter that is helping for his surgery:

All contributions go to Manny, and are not for anyones profit – only to help save his life.

His surgery is urgent, without he may not live to this Spring. Here is the direct link where you can give a few dollars to help fix his little doggy heart.

Please pass the link along to anyone else that you think would help out.
Thanks to everyone for reading this!

Natalie

I just donated $25 to it, and you should too!

Maalim, the cute rhino!

Check out Maalim, the cutest baby animal ever. I want to steal him!

Found frightened and alone, at first he was confused for an infant warthog because he was so small.

However, the staff at Tsavo quickly realised that the eight-inch high infant was in dire need of help.

Maalim was assigned a specialist keeper who has been with the rhino calf day and night, even sleeping with him in the specially designed enclosure.

He now weighs almost double what he did when he was first brought into the park and in now almost two feet tall.

In a few years this vulnerable young rhino will be one of the kings of the African bush at around 11 feet long, 5 foot tall and weighing close to 3,00lbs.

It’s the new rage, baby Rhinos! I bet they smell bad, but they’re definitely cute. Check out his heinous outfit

P.S. I was talking about the kid’s heinous outfit, not Maalim. He’s wearing CROCKS! Gross.
