I love you because you made me wear horrible hairstyles for the first 10 years of my life. It makes for great pictures.

I love you even though you traumatized me by homeschooling me until 6th grade. It helped me develop a great independent work ethic.

I love you even though you make me take a “no thank you” bite of everything that tasted like dirt on my plate. It’s helped me discover foods I normally wouldn’t have tried in the first place.

I love you because you video recorded every special moment in my life even though I would get so mad at you at the time. It’s great to look back on them and laugh with the family.

I love you for not letting me quit piano when I screamed and cried while practicing every day. I’m so thankful I’m able to make music now.

I love you for being financially responsible when I was little. We never had a clue that we were dirt poor and you somehow managed to take us to horseback riding lessons, piano lessons, skiing, and pottery. You cultured us and let us do anything we wanted

I love you for loving dad and always being a good wife to him.

I love you for never wrapping Christmas gifts until the morning of Christmas. It’s actually really annoying but it’s hilarious every year.

I love you because you’re funny and I don’t get embarrassed when I bring people to meet you.

I love you because you’re a really great mom. Plain and simple. I love you so much and am so very thankful you’re my madre.

HAHA.

To at least slightly defend myself, I never put poop marks on her butt, but I DID cut her hair…. and my mom is wrong anyways. I had the Felicity doll, not the Samantha doll!

My family is a magnet for drama…

Christina’s knee has been really gross since Christmas and it turns out (two ER and one urgent care trip later) she has a staph infection. Her primary care doctor was the first doctor to take a culture of the infection and it’s such a simple test and it took them this long! it’s so frustrating.

Anyways, they’re admitting her to Riverside for a few days. I’m going to go hang out with her tonight. Hopefully it will clear up with antibiotics through an IV… Staph infections can be pretty serious so keep her in your thoughts.
