Ultimate Kitchen

So my parents are redoing their kitchen and here is the almost finished product… Pretty awesome!!

Their sink… my favorite part of the whole kitchen!

Their awesome faucet

My dad finally has a stove worthy of his awesome cooking abilities! I can’t wait to eat all the yummy meals he cooks

It has cool burners! This picture sucks. Sorry.

I think their “hood” is cool… it’s really little but they didn’t have much room for a big fancy shmancy one. It just pulls out. Also a nice view of the butcher block countertops. I really like them a lot, I think it warms everything up.

Drawers on the bottom instead of cabinets

Double oven that hasn’t gone in yet

Side view… obviously not finished yet! But getting there.

Ju ju… and wine! Yummmmmmm… going to go now. BYE!

Can’t sleep.

I can’t sleep. Actually, I probably could if I tried but I haven’t felt tired yet so I haven’t tried.

I am stranded at my parent’s house in Dublin because it snowed a ton tonight (5+ inches while I was at work) and I didn’t want to drive home in it. Since they live about 2 miles from my job I just drove over there. Normally it takes me about 6 minutes to get to their house and it took me 25 to get home. I sat at a light for about 15 of those… just watching the light turn green… then red… then green… and each time about TWO CARS would get through. It pissed me off so much. I understand you have to drive slow, but driving about 5-10 mph in a 45 mph zone is ridiculous.

Tomorrow is my dad’s birthday. He’s turning… umm… old. I don’t know exactly how many years… I think 53 but I’m not positive. Is that bad? :( Anyways… we are getting his car detailed so that will be nice for him. He deserves it! Maybe we can buy him some plastic covers for his car seats. You know… like the ones really old people put on their couches? Sounds comfy.

Jamie always posts pictures of wedding dresses on her website because that’s what she loves… but my current obsession is decorating my non-existent home. There’s this one…

Except it costs freaking $2,500. I would never spend that much on a couch. I also don’t like how it has 3 sections. I want mine shaped like an L. This shape limits what spaces you can put it into.

This one is probably a lot closer to what I will actually end up getting

It looks nice but also looks comfy… I would get it in a shade lighter though so it looks nice with dark wood floors. I can put some color with different throw pillows and I like how it’s lifted and will separate a space nicely! If I get Julie’s condo it’s a really open floor plan so I basically have to visually create 2 rooms out of 1. One section has to be the living room then the other the dining room. I figure with your eye I can use the back of the couch as the “separator” and put a narrow table right behind it with some cute little accessories on it… something along those lines.
