I’m not going to do a full blown movie review on this. All I’m going to say is I got the opportunity to go to a sneak peak of this tonight and it was EXCELLENT. Five stars, yo. If you like period films/historical films/World War II films…. go see it. It’s awesome. Daniel Craig was amazing.

BRIDE WARS REVIEW
Bride Wars, starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson, has been advertising since early fall and has made women all over anticipate it’s release on January 9.
As an avid chick flick fan I called about 4 people to go see it with me and finally convinced Julie tag along so I didn’t seem like a total douche by myself in the theatre laughing and crying. Here’s my take.
Chick-flicky-ness
This movie is a must for any Kate Hudson fan, she’s the romantic comedy pro… She makes any script into a hilarious blockbuster. Guys, if your girlfriend is definitely going to drag you to a chick flick and you HAVE to choose one, choose this one. It’s great for a date because it’s actually funny. Plus there are 2 of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood starring in it! It’s a win-win. Your date is happy, and you have eye-candy!
Story line
OK, so it was a tad bit ridiculous. Life long friends hating each other because of something neither of them did intentionally. There were huge holes in the plot and you can pick it apart… but hey, that’s what romantic comedies are! They are unrealistic fantasies (mostly) of women everywhere. In this case, the one element of the plot that kept it interesting was the insanely luxurious weddings they were planning which were so over the top I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. If this wedding would’ve been at anywhere other than the Plaza, it would’ve been pretty lame.
Acting
Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway are both great actresses. Anne Hathaway was recently nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes and is in contention for an Oscar coming up also. The acting was definitely great. And of course Kate has her usual charm and inpecable comedic timing that leaves us all with exercised abs when we leave the theatre. I got to see a side of Anne Hathaway I haven’t seen since her early career in Princess Diaries and it reminded me that she’s pretty damn funny! Great comedic timing. Although she’s definitely not as funny as Kate (because she doesn’t have quite so much practice. What’s with all the romantic comedies, Kate?).
All together
I give it 4 out of 5 stars. I don’t give it a 5 because it could’ve been more realistic and thought out, but because I love Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway so much I give it a 4! I definitely recommend going to see it, it’s well worth the $7-$10 now, and DEFINITELY a must see at the dollar movies or on home video.
