Not only is this awesome because it’s vintage Kanye West before he was famous but Mos Def introduced him as “the future of hip hop.”

Pretty sweet. Anyway, here’s a “slam poem,” whatever that is. Sounds like a rap without music to me. Also reminds me of his rap in Gold Digger a lot, at least the flow and rhyming pattern. The words are ironic since Kanye is the king of splurging and flash, and he’s rhyming about how insecure that makes you.
