During his final song at a concert in Argentina, John grabbed a guitar from the audience, tuned it, played it during his song, signed it, and returned it to the fan.
John Mayer finally quit trying to look like Johnny Depp, and is back to being hot again. He’s also being less of a douche, and helped raise $3 million dollars for the Bob Woodruff Foundation For Kids That Can’t Read Good. Just kidding, it’s just called the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
He played a Beatles song called Long and Winding Road, no singing though. Which leads me to believe he’s still having his vocal issues that caused him to cancel his tour. Wah.
RIP Johnny Depp Mayer. May you forever remain a distant memory that can only be remembered by YouTubing.
John Mayer‘s first single off his upcoming album Born and Raised has finally been announced… it’s called “Shadow Days.” I like it, and I’m glad he’s back to singing about love. Here’s a 60 second snippet….
I hate that he used the phrase “it sucks” in his lyrics, because that’s sh*t sounds super low budget to me… but there are worse things in life. At least he didn’t say “crunk” or something.
What do you think about my hubby’s new song? His music usually has to grow on me, though.
This is my future husband, John Mayer, being photographed by paparazzi. His hair is long, and he has a beard. And for some reason, it makes him look a little overweight. I don’t get it. He looks terrible with a beard. 99% of men LOOK WORSE WITH A BEARD. Don’t grow one. You look better. I swear to God, it’s not covering up your double chin, or making your jaw line look more defined. It just makes you look worse. STOP DOING IT! For me. OK?
This is what he looks like when he’s clean shaven and has his hair cut:
Watch a video of the collaboration here!
It’s been a while since I’ve had any John Mayer news. He’s got his own category on the blog…. Hubby #1: John Mayer. I’m sad that I’m even writing about this, or posting the ridiculous video. THIS SHOULDN’T BE HAPPENING. My future husband shouldn’t be doing this low budget crap. It’s embarrassing. I’m embarrassed for him. Talented, hot, sane people like John Mayer should not be hanging out with midlife crisis lunatics such as Jim Carey. OR playing the background music for their weird art videos. Jim Carey’s art looks like the stuff I used to draw on my binder with gel pens in Bible class when I’d zone out.
Do you think maybe Jim just invited John over, and was like, “hey man, play something for me!” when they were hanging out? And then John started playing and Jim was like, “Dude I’m just gonna record you real fast!” and John felt pressured because he was in that awkward situation where he doesn’t want to say no and stop playing immediately because then Jim would know he’d be embarrassed for the world to see that they hang out. So he just played to be a nice guy, and now Jim is calling John his muse, and using John’s music as background music to his cray art video?
I bet that’s what happened. At least that’s what I’m going to tell myself happened.
Do you guys remember Zach Anner? I wrote about how he competed in Oprah Winfrey‘s contest to win your own show on her network. Despite having cerebral palsy, he is traveling the world and showing people his activities. John Mayer took a certain liking to him, and offered his help in any way possible. Looks like it materialized into writing and producing the theme song for Zach’s new show, Rollin’ With Zach. d’awwww. I love John. What a nice guy. You can hear the first tidbit of the song in the preview for Zach’s new show!:
I can’t get the stupid video to work, so click here to watch it!
In season one of Rollin’ With Zach, he travels from coast to coast, visiting Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Portland. Each episode is filled with humor and emotion, as Zach meets new people, indulges in his favorite treats, and attempts new and exciting experiences he never thought possible! From surfing to sailing, rock climbing to water-skiing, he challenges himself to try the unexpected, and at times – the seemingly impossible. And when things don’t go as planned, Zach embraces the problem with his sharp sense of humor and a positive attitude, because travel is an adventure and sometimes you just have to “roll with it!”
(Home Makeover + Biggest Loser) x 933,242 = how much I’m going to cry every episode of Rollin’ With Zach.
